“Everything is energy and that's all there is to it. Match the frequency of the reality you want and you cannot help but get that reality. It can be no other way. This is not philosophy. This is physics.”
There is some debate about whether this statement was made by Albert Einstein or by someone else, but there is nothing uncertain about the statement itself.
Everything is energy. And emotion is simply energy in motion.
As a healer, I work with energy and look at my world in terms of vibration. But I understand that a lot of people—maybe including you—don’t think about feelings, thoughts and interactions, or physical ailments in terms of frequencies, or vibrations. Yet you know, on some level, that if you have low vibrations in your body, you’ll manifest matching experiences. You may say you’re “feeling low,” or that your body “feels heavy.” You may be “lighthearted” or notice that your thoughts are “clear.”
You’re describing fluctuations in your energy body.
Once you make this realization and begin to think in terms of energetic frequencies, you’ll recognize the things that lower your vibration. Money, food, conversations, family stories, TV shows; all of these everyday things carry positive or negative charges.
Why not choose activities that raise your vibration?
When I look back at 2019, I realize that selling my house took a lot of time and energy. It started as a negative experience, driven by fear. After many ups and downs, I re-listed my place in February and then traveled to the Dominican Republic to swim with humpback whales, who have the highest vibration on earth.
I let my fears go, trusting that I was attracting the situation for me that would match my vibration.
While out at sea, three offers came in on my house, one for $15,000 higher than my asking price.
And when I found a new house, from the moment I walked in, I knew it was mine. It needed some TLC, but I was patient through the repairs and construction challenges that followed. And now it just feels right, lighter and brighter than my old home.
I’m aware of a new vibration.
If you want to practice tuning into your own vibrations, take a moment and think of a challenging moment you’ve had recently. How does your body feel? Heavy or light?
Now think of your children or someone you love. Notice the difference in your internal state. There is likely a buoyancy there.
So how do you allow lightness to come in? In order to experience higher vibrations, you have to integrate the lower vibrations. You can do this by coming into the moment and breathing. This opens your heart, your oxygen levels increase, and your vibration rises.
I like to use the analogy of an ice cube dropped into water. It begins as a dense mass, but if we heat the water, the ice melts and becomes water, then eventually steam.
Oxygen, powered by the breath, is the heat that dissipates the dense vibrations in our bodies.
So as you move into this season of shorter days and darker nights, you can keep your light shining more brightly by tending to your vibration.
If you want to rest, rest.
If you have to say no to a social gathering, say no.
If you feel obligated to give, give first to yourself.
Instead of looking for God in the lights and tinsel, find God in your breath.
My daughter and I will enjoy this season in our new home by choosing a tree together, making chili, and letting the holiday evolve naturally, without an agenda. Together, we’ll enjoy the small things as we celebrate new beginnings.
Above all, we’ll allow the vibration of gratitude to carry us through the holidays.
